how do i live this way?

I have been living with chronic pain for over 2 yrs now. It started with a herniated cervical disc that trapped a nerve. I’ve had meds, physical therapy including traction, surgery and I am still in freakn’ pain!!!!!!!!!! I honestly go to bed in pain, wake up w/pain. I have tried mind over matter, ignoring, which c’mon we all know tht’s impossible. Two months after surgery I was diagnosed w/fibromyalgia then a month ago “maybe not fibro” I’ve been tested for all kinds of things RA, Lupus, any autoimmune. After the surgery I had MRI and EMG I am told there was no change at that time. (march 08). I literally can’t walk in the am and when I go to bed my whole body screams pain. I have told my MD I could no longer live like this and she put me on suicide watch for 4 days. I honestly don’t want to die but I also don’t want to live like this . Any Suggestions???????? Thank-you

Glad to hear you really don’t want to die.
You’re right, it does not seem fair that some have to live in such pain.
But many of us do.
Have you ever watched those shows called Mystery Diagnosis?
It’s interesting to know so many people have found it takes a long, long time to find the answer to their problems. But eventually they do.

So they haven’t figured out what the pain is for sure?
In the meantime, you are miserable, eh?
And medications and therapy have not helped?
It sounds like you have become one “raw peeled nerve.”
What does your doctor say about the severe pain?
Can you get another second opinion from another physician
who has dealt with severe chronic pain?

Unfortunately, many doctors are hesitant to give the sufferer enough medication to “do the job,” because of the patients who have abused their meds. You certainly don’t want to live like a zombie.

The only thing I can tell you, while you wait for the final results of all the tests, so they can possibly give you the proper treatment and/or medications, is… that I will pray for you.

These are some excerpts: God and your physical pain. Though racked by physical pain on the cross, it was His spirit, not His body, which Jesus committed to God (Luke 23:46). This is not to minimize physical pain, for God delivered many from it in Scripture. But it is to remember that even when physical pain cannot be removed, God is still the comforter of the spirit.
